S & T COVID Compliance Plan

Problem:

I was approached by a production company in affiliation with Netflix to create a COVID-19 compliance plan for their series to demonstrate compliance with LA County’s Reopening Protocol for Music, Television and Film Production: Appendix J as well as guidelines set in place by the joint efforts of the DGA, PGA, SAG-AFTRA, IATSE, Teamsters, and Netflix.

At the time, productions were required to conform to strict COVID-19 guidelines, but many productions had different protocols in place. This made it difficult for crew members to know exactly what safety guidelines to adhere to.

Approach:

I researched updated requirements and protocols for LA County, joint TV and film unions, and Netflix to compose a compliance plan that met each and every standard of safety. I worked alongside Netflix compliance teams to understand and simplify complex terms. I included imagery and appropriate whitespace to help guide the reader and keep their attention.

 

Solution:

In the end, I created an easy-to-read compliance plan for crew members and their department heads. I presented the training guidelines to department heads and crew to guarantee that everyone working on the production knew and understood the COVID-19 protocols. As protocols changed, I updated and delivered the most recent version of the compliance plan to the crew.
